One of the historical finds you can spot in Zivogosce is the Licinian’s epigram from the year 474 BC. Composed of 16 Latin hexameters is probably the most beautiful example of classical literature. Famous Latin verses were carved on a cliff by the sea.

While traveling to the verses on the cliff, you wouldn’t spot any signposts. The verses are barely visible and can be found by someone who knows it is there.

Parking spots could be an issue here. Space is limited and private.

Velika Duba Beach

The famous beach of Velika Duba is divided by a pedestrian path about 700 meters long, which begins in the Zivogosšće Blato.

Velika Duba can be reached from the direction of Živogošće Mala Duba. Which is about 500 meters to the west, or from the main road, which takes about 100 meters to reach.

It is possible to park for free during the entire season at two smaller extensions along the main road.

Private parking is located near the beach and is a standard price.

Velika Duba can be FKK-friendly, but it depends on the current bathers. Usually, this is the case in the off-season. A beach has a tiny natural shade, so an umbrella is necessary.
